I’m Here for You
What is the difference between a Swedish Massage and a Deep Tissue Massage?
Swedish is a combination of light to firm gliding strokes. A full body massage can be accomplished using these relaxing techniques. Deep Tissue targets deep-layer tissue, and is considered a spot treatment. Deep tissue treatments may require additional appointments if there are multiple areas of the body that need work.
How should I prepare for my treatment session?
Wearing comfortable clothing similar to sportswear is recommended for your scheduled appointment. Please bring a mask for COVID-19 Protocols and arrive at your appointment 10 minutes early for check-in.
Is it normal to feel sick after getting a massage?
Some people may experience headaches, nausea, dizziness, fatigue, or other flu-like symptoms. A professional massage can lead to some or all of the above side effects that will last for one or two days after the massage. During a massage, your body releases toxins into your bloodstream. The lymphatic system is more active after a massage session while it attempts to clear excess toxins that were trapped in the fascia system of the body.
Is it normal to feel sore after a massage?
You may feel sore after a massage, which is normal. It may be mild to moderate and should subside within a couple of days. Clients may experience some stiffness or pain after a massage treatment that works deeper layers, but it is very important to communicate with your massage therapist when things hurt and if any soreness or pain you experience is outside your comfort range.
I have a recent injury. Can I get a massage to help with the pain caused by that injury?
If you have had a recent injury, it is best to speak with your physician and get their professional opinion. If our massage modalities are suitable for your injury, it is recommended to wait a minimum of 48 hours before coming in for an appointment.
Can I work out right after a massage?
It is recommended to wait a minimum of 24 hours before working out after receiving a massage. Working out within 24 hours of your massage may increase the risk of injury during your workout.
Why Far-Infrared Saunas?
FIR wavelengths are the most beneficial when it comes to our neuromuscular system in comparison to near and mid infrared wavelengths. It works by stimulating water molecules in tissues for deep heating, boosting blood flow, aiding in collagen & cell repair, while also supporting immune function.
FIR is the most effective wavelength when your goal is deep muscle recovery and joint pain relief. The FIR Deep heat penetrates muscles, relieving tension, joint pain, reducing pain & inflammation, and speeding recovery. This includes those who are suffering from arthritis and fibromyalgia.
Stepping into a FIR Sauna will create a full-body relaxation effect, while restoring balance and elevating your mood. It is a proven path to stress relief, allowing you to relax and recharge. The soothing warmth helps balance cortisol, leading to deep relaxation and stress reduction. As FIR increases circulation, it encourages oxygen and nutrients to flow to the skin that can contribute to healthy and radiant glowing skin.
FIR can also improve your sleep quality and help with sleep disturbances. It may also help with your cardiovascular health.Using FIR saunas regularly may help improve heart health and studies suggest benefits for lowering BP and improving vascular function, which may reduce the risk of certain heart conditions.
